Introduction

Grain drying tower is a commonly used grain drying equipment. Through contact between hot air and grain, evaporate moisture in grain, achieve drying effect. Its working principle mainly includes three parts: hot air generation, transmission and drying process.

Grain Drying Tower Working Principle

The grain drying tower working principle is based on the principles of heat transfer and aerodynamics.

High-temperature hot air generated by hot air system enter tower through hot air distribution system, creating high-temperature and high-humidity environment.

Wet grain enter tower from the top. It falls through each layer, come into full contact with hot air, causing surface and internal moisture to evaporate and form moist hot air. Then expelled from tower by the dehumidification system.

During drying process, the automatic control system adjust hot air temperature, airflow, and grain residence time within the tower based on pre-set parameters to achieve best drying results.

How Does Grain Drying Tower Work?

The grain drying tower achieves grain drying through hot air generation, transmission, and drying process.

First, hot air generation is basis of grain drying tower’s operation. Hot air is typically generated by burner, combust fuel to produce high-temperature hot air. Then, hot air is delivered into drying tower via blower.

Inside burner, fuel is mixed with air and combusted, produce high-temperature hot air. It pass through combustion chamber and heat exchanger before being into drying tower.

Second, After hot air is delivered into drying tower inside by blower, it form a flowing layer of hot air within tower.

When grain into drying tower, it comes into full contact with hot air, and hot air high temperature causes moisture in the grain to evaporate.

Finally, drying tower is equipped with an outlet to discharge the dried grain. In drying process, control temperature and humidity of hot air is important. Because it direct impact the grain drying effect and quality.

Hot air blower: as heat source providing system, generate high-temperature hot air. Model: 4-72-8C 30KW, 4-72-8C 37KW, 4-72-9C 45KW.

Hot air distribution system: distribute the hot air generated by hot air blower to drying tower, ensure each grain can be fully dried.

Multi-layer drying tower body: constructed from metal plates, grain fall layer by layer from top to bottom within tower, fully in contact with hot air.

Dehumidification system: include dehumidification fan and dehumidification duct, exhaust moisture evaporated from grain and moist hot air out of the tower.

Cleaning and dust removal device: prevent impurities from entering the system, while recovering dust from the hot air, keep environment clean.

Automatic control system: Integrates monitoring and adjustment of parameters such as temperature, humidity, and airflow, enabling intelligent management of drying process.
