Introduction

Insulated silo, also known as thermal insulation steel silo. It is composed of steel silo such as flat-bottomed steel silos, cone-bottomed steel silos, and flour silos with an insulation layer and a surface protective layer to maintain stored grain quality.

Thermal insulation steel silo maintain low temperature for grain storage, ensure stable storage and long safe storage.

Insulated silos are constructed by lining exterior of steel silo with various insulation materials. Then, install color-coated steel panels outside insulation layer as outer siding.

These panels are secured to outer silo wall with multiple keels using leak-proof, high-strength drilled nails, completely enclosing the silo and insulation.

The silo is fitted with roof panel equipped with axial fan vents and natural ventilation openings. The silo also has an inspection door and optional intelligent ventilation and grain circulation fumigation system.

The thermal insulation steel silo is generally divided into three layers.

The first layer is inner layer, made of hot-dip galvanized corrugated steel. The wall panels are either corrugated or flat, with smooth interior and no steps or flanges.

The silo inner wall has vertical reinforcing ribs and transverse spiral undercut ribs, improve silo strength.

The second layer is insulation layer, made of high-quality polyurethane foam, has excellent thermal insulation property. You can customize foam to suit your specific needs, with varying densities, strengths, and heat resistance.

The third layer is made of color-coated steel or galvanized steel, all treated with hot-dip galvanizing process. For high strength and corrosion resistance, it effect resist the effects of wind, rain, and sun, ensure long lifespan.
